If you do not have a GPG key yet, follow up with the next.

If you already have a GPG key, add your address to an existing GPG key, because in which case you don’t need to create any new key. When that is done, it’s time to setup your GPG key. shasum -c mongodb-macos-x8664-6.0.2.tgz.sha256. The first step is to download and run GPG Suite.
However, that leaves me wondering what I'm supposed to do with the file? Since I don't understand what the instructions mean by, "Import the Linux Mint signing key", does anyone want to clarify that for me, before I proceed further? Please note that I'm on a MacBook Air which I'm not very familiar with, plus I'm pretty sure the instructions at aren't written for. gpg: key 4B7C549A058F8B6B: MongoDB 6.0 Release Signing Key <> imported.txt file, which I figure is the correct line for me. The above string of figures, by manual eyesight, matches the second line of figures in the new. Yup, that was apparently the case, though I'm not sure how that happened.
GPG SUITE SHASUM UPDATE
That leads me to believe that I may have the wrong. In order to update GPG Suite to the latest version, the GPG Suite Updater app checks if there is a new update available. The ~ apparently represents my home folder which is where I put the ISO file containing the three downloaded files.

I copied and pasted the first part of the command you gave me, and instead of /path/to/file I substituted ~/ISO, so it looked like: ~ % shasum -a 256 ~/ISO.
GPG SUITE SHASUM HOW TO
I finally found out how to open Terminal, and a little bit about how to use it as well as finding the Mac equivalent of File Manager. I've got a real steep learning curve, since I knew practically nothing about Macs. I really appreciate you working on helping me, but I'm not there yet.
